Description
Antique American-made Fulper Bisque Head Doll
w/ Jointed German Composition Body
The Fulper Pottery Company only made heads and we don't know what their regular source of doll bodies were.
So, we're not sure if the German Body was a more "recent" combination, but the proportions work very nicely together
.
Approximately
20 1/2
" Tall
There are two manufacturing "splits" to the rim of the head
and either another manufacturing flaw or hairline above the forehead
Blue sleep eyes are held into place with a poor plastering repair job
Eye lids are loose and broken, so the remaining
fragments
should probably just be removed
The German Composition body may be by Kestner ?
There are some repairs/repainting to the upper portion of the right leg and to the joint of the lower portion
The handmade vintage brown dress has a rip that we covered up with the apron/
pinafore
Replacement shoes and socks
Replaced slip and bloomers that could be improved
The vintage human hair ? wig is a bit messy.
We will carefully pad the inside of her head to prevent the eyes from moving during shipping.
Elastic stringing is in good condition.
The lovely doll has a few issues, but displays well.
The Necessary Disclaimer:
We are downsizing wonderful collectibles, most of which are vintage/antique. Some of these items were purchased in previously-owned condition from German/European flea markets and some items are from our personal life-long collecting.
We will not purposely misrepresent the items, but we are human, with middle-age eyesight, and may not capture all the potential issues in the description and/or pictures.
Since most of the items are not new, please email any specific questions you may have about the item and/or its condition before bidding.
We are a non-smoking household, but we cannot guarantee all items have been that way 100% of the time.
We participate in the
eBay Global International
shipping program when sending items outside the United States. Please understand we do not have any control over the costs beyond the actual item price and the initial postage to get the package to the distribution center. It can get very expensive to send the winning item to its final destination once the import fees and international postage costs are added by the eBay Global process.
Buyers are expected to pay for their winning bid within three (3) days of the end of the auction unless alternate arrangements are made PRIOR to closing.
DUE TO THE HIGH USPS COSTS, WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO OFFER “FREE SHIPPING” TO POST OFFICE BOX ADDRESSES IF THE ITEM REQUIRES A LARGE BOX AND/OR IS HEAVY. Please contact us prior to paying for a winning item if you receive packages to a P.O. Box.
