Description:
Presented for your consideration is this RARE antique figural pipe. The larger sized pipe has a meerschaum bowl with a orange brown bakelite top/mouthpiece. The bowl of the pipe has a beautiful and very detailed nude woman with her back arched around a large flower. Her legs wrap around the bottom of the pipe along with the leaves of the flower. Her arms extend upward to grab near the top of the flower. Gorgeous detailing and fine craftsmanship is displayed throughout the woman and flower. In the center of the top of the flower is the opening of the pipe. The meerschaum and bakelite are joined together with a screw, unsure if this is original to the pipe. The pipe stores inside of a black leather case with a blush turquoise interior. Underside of the lid is marked with "C. P.F." Case easily opens and closes. This neat pipe would make a great addition to any estate or figural pipe collection! A nice piece to add to any tobacco memorabilia collection!
Mouthpiece and collar are loose from the meerschaum base. Light chipping is around the bottom of the bakelite piece. Typical light wear from age and use is present on the pipe and case. Overall in VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
Pipe measures 7" from the back of the mouthpiece to the front of the woman, 2" wide at the widest point of the meerschaum, and approximately 5" tall from the bottom of the bowl to the top of the mouthpiece.
