Magnificent Trisha
Purchased In Singapore - 35 Years Ago - Now In Calif.
Also known as a cycle rickshaw, this trisha has a bicycle adjacent to the "carriage".  The first cycle rickshaws were built in the 1880s, and they were first used widely in 1929 in Singapore.  the trishaw in Singapore and the sai kaa in Burma the passengers sit alongside the driver.
An international banker, and his family were in Singapore for many years. When they left to come back to the United States they brought their Trisha with them. That was over 21 years ago when they settled into a quintessential home in Pasadena, California. Many happy times were spent "travelling" on this ancient form of transportation. Rides around the backyard were often a highlight of Birthday parties.
Now that the children have been out of the house it was time to sell this treasure. It has been stored in the garage, so it remains in top-notch condition. The only "flaw" is that the bicycle tires are flat. Do not know if tubes have to be replace. Complete with keys and lock, as well as the essential bell. And...of course the sign from Singapore.
Pick-up is only in Pasadena, California. Shipping can be arranged - but obviously expensive.
Pickup is available at our office in Santa Monica, California. There is only a .00 charge.
